Usage Policy
Our Usage Policy (also referred to as the "Acceptable Use Policy" or "AUP") applies to any person who may submit input to Fenno, including through any authorised reseller or direct access. We refer to all such persons as "users".
This Usage Policy is intended to help keep users safe and to promote responsible use of Fenno's products and services.
This Usage Policy forms an integral part of Fenno's Terms of Service. By using Fenno's Services, users agree to comply with this Policy. Fenno reserves the right to take appropriate measures in response to any violation of this Policy, including but not limited to suspending or terminating the Services.
When using Fenno's products, users shall observe the following provisions:

A. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS AND REGULATIONS
Users of Fenno's Services shall also comply with the laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements of the People's Republic of China, including but not limited to the Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China, the Data Security Law of the People's Republic of China, the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Interim Measures for the Management of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services.
B. NO VIOLATION OF APPLICABLE LAWS OR UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES
You must not use our Services to engage in, promote, or encourage any activity that violates the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, including but not limited to acts that endanger national security, disrupt public order, or infringe upon the lawful rights and interests of others.
C. NO HARM TO CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
You must not use our Services to harm, disrupt, or interfere with critical infrastructure, including but not limited to:
- Telecommunications systems
- Healthcare systems
- Energy systems
- Transportation systems
- Water supply systems
- Financial services systems
- Election infrastructure
D. NO HARM TO COMPUTER OR NETWORK SYSTEMS
You must not use our Services to:
- Develop or distribute malware;
- Gain unauthorised access to, control, or disrupt computer systems;
- Engage in cyberattacks, intrusions, or disruptive activities;
- Generate malware, viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious code;
- Generate exploit code, penetration testing tools, or network attack scripts;
- Generate code that may be used to bypass security protections;
- Generate code for unauthorised access to computer systems.
Exceptions for security research are permitted, provided that such activities are conducted within the scope of lawful authorisation and that the user bears sole legal responsibility.
E. NO GENERATION OF CODE THAT VIOLATES OPEN SOURCE LICENCES
You must not use our Services to generate code that violates any third‑party open source licence terms, unless you have obtained appropriate authorisation.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that generated code does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
F. NO DEVELOPMENT OR DESIGN OF WEAPONS
You must not use our Services to develop:
- Weapons systems;
- Military applications;
- Surveillance technologies;
- Nuclear, biological, chemical, or radiological weapons;
- Military‑grade cyber capabilities;
- Missiles, drones, or autonomous weapons systems;
- Other technologies that may cause harm to humans.
G. NO INCITEMENT TO VIOLENCE OR HATE
You must not use our Services to:
- Incite, promote, or glorify extreme violence;
- Commit violence against individuals or groups based on identity;
- Promote hatred against protected groups;
- Degrade, personalise, or dehumanise groups.
H. NO INFRINGEMENT OF PRIVACY OR IDENTITY RIGHTS
You must not use our Services to:
- Stalk, harass, or bully others;
- Illegally collect or exploit personal information;
- Create facial recognition systems used to identify individuals in private or restricted areas;
- Use leaked data for identity theft, harassment, or other unlawful acts.
I. NO HARM TO MINOR SAFETY
You must not use our Services to create, obtain, or disseminate:
- Child sexual abuse material;
- Obscene or pornographic content involving minors;
- Content that glorifies or encourages abuse or violence against minors;
- Other content that infringes upon the lawful rights and interests of minors or endangers their physical and mental health.
J. NO CREATION OR DISSEMINATION OF MISINFORMATION
You must not use our Services to create or disseminate:
- False information;
- Misleading content;
- Deceptive content.
In particular, with respect to:
- Public health;
- Politics;
- Civic processes;
- Social stability;
- Public figures.
K. NO FRAUD, ABUSE, OR PREDATORY PRACTICES
You must not use our Services to:
- Create fraudulent content;
- Engage in fraudulent activities;
- Impersonate individuals, organisations, or institutions;
- Distribute spam;
- Promote gambling;
- Promote usury or predatory financial products;
- Engage in other misleading, deceptive, or exploitative conduct.
L. NO ABUSE OF OUR PLATFORM
You must not:
- Bypass security measures;
- Circumvent model restrictions;
- Illegally extract model weights;
- Bypass API rate limits or platform restrictions;
- Violate platform service rules.
M. NO GENERATION OF SEXUALLY EXPLICIT CONTENT
You must not use our Services to generate:
- Pornographic content;
- Explicit content intended for sexual gratification;
- Content depicting explicit sexual acts.
The following legitimate uses are excepted:
- Sexual and reproductive health education;
- Scientific research;
- Educational purposes;
- Artistic purposes.
N. HIGH‑RISK USE CASE REQUIREMENTS
Customer understands and agrees that outputs generated by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to code, text, or other content) may contain errors, security vulnerabilities, or may not meet specific business requirements.
If Customer uses Service outputs in scenarios that may affect public welfare, social fairness, or involve material personal rights and interests, Customer shall establish appropriate review mechanisms to ensure that outputs have been adequately tested and evaluated before use.
Customer bears sole responsibility for any consequences arising from its use of Service outputs.
O. AI DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS
If model outputs are directly presented to users or consumers, it must be clearly disclosed that the content is generated or assisted by AI. Such disclosure shall be provided at least at the start of each session.
For AI programming assistant products, when code completion and generation occur within the integrated development environment, per‑instance disclosure is not required. However, if AI‑generated outputs are delivered as a standalone product to end users, the above disclosure requirements shall apply.
P. RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF OUTPUTS
This Policy governs the conduct of users in using Fenno's Services themselves.
Any product, service, or application created by users using outputs from Fenno's Services is the sole responsibility of the user, and users shall ensure that such products, services, or applications comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
